About The Streak Lab
Simple, private 30-day habit experiments. No apps, no accounts, no guilt — just your own observable data.
Why We Built This
Most habit trackers want your email, your data, your subscription. We wanted the opposite: zero friction, maximum privacy, real experimentation.
Inspired by "don't break the chain" calendars, Atomic Habits-style resets, and the idea that small, time-boxed tests beat vague "lifestyle changes."
What We Are (and Aren't)
- We are: A free collection of browser-based streak trackers
- We are: 100% local — your progress never leaves your device
- We are: Focused on curiosity and observation, not perfection
- We aren't: A productivity app with notifications or gamification
- We aren't: Medical, financial, or psychological advice
- We aren't: Collecting any data about you
How It Started
The original Streak Lab was an NBA player prop streak dashboard. We loved the "heat index" concept — tracking hot/cold runs with clear data.
We realized the same mechanics (streaks, regression, no-shame resets) could apply to personal habits. So we rebuilt it from the ground up — privacy-first, evergreen, and guilt-free.
Our Philosophy
- 30 days is long enough to see change, short enough to finish.
- Minimum viable wins beat impossible standards.
- Data without judgment — misses are information, not failure.
- Privacy is non-negotiable in 2026.
